#21 John Greed £250 Pandora Challenge

Thanks to the lovely Hayley over at Strangeness & Charm (one of my favourite blogs, so give her a follow) I have found out about a Pandora competition over at John Greed (competition closes on the 5th December 2012). So of course I had to enter! All the rules are here, but basically you have to create a bracelet up to the value of £250. I’ve spent the last two hours (while the TV has been terrible) making my dream bracelet which turned out to be harder than I thought because Pandora have such wonderful charms! However, I have finally made my choices!

Everything on my bracelet I have chosen for a specific reason, and while doing this it has made me realised how desperately I would love some of these charms to signify a special moment in my life! In my opinion that is what makes Pandora so great.. my mum has one, and my sister and everything on their very full bracelets mean something to them.
And here is what I’d have on mine..

Firstly, the bracelet I’ve chosen is the brown leather woven bracelet at £40. I just think it’s something I could wear every day. I’m not a gold or silver jewellery wearer so this definitely appeals to me more. I also personally think it looks really nice with just a few charms on so the leather is still on show.. My final reason for choosing this particular bracelet is that it looks so nice with the silver.
The first charm I’ve chosen is the London Bus with the Union Jack top at £40. 2012 has been a HUGE year for our country with the Queen’s Jubilee and then the Olympics. I’m not usually an in your face proud Brit.. but this year I was completely blown away by how amazingly we’ve all come together to celebrate both big events. I know this charm will commemorate this year perfectly.
This year the biggest thing of my life happened, I became a mother to my beautiful daughter Olivia, so my second charm is chosen for her. I have chosen the little Baby Bootie with a pink zirconia at £50. It’s one of the few two tone charms I absolutely love.
Thirdly, I have chosen the letter ‘A’ charm at £30. This is to really personalise this bracelet since it’s the first letter of my name.
Next, I chose the Teacup at £25… I used to hate tea which was so un-British of me but since my daughter was born I’ve become reliant on the stuff! My day cannot truly start until I have my cup of milky tea with three sugars (yes three!)
One of Pandora’s newest charms are the destination charms. I was torn between the Statue of Liberty and the Eiffel Tower (both £40) as both Paris and New York mean something to me. In the end I went for the Eiffel Tower to represent my love of all things French. Much of my style is influenced by Parisienne fashion, I love French food, the language.. everything so I think this charm really captures me as a person.
Finally, I chose the Cat at £25. I’ve had to move back in with my parents since my relationship broke down and one of my favourite things about living at home is our cat, Peggy. I’d really like to have a charm for her. She’s a beaut.
My bracelet and charms has come to exactly £250! I’m pretty pleased with that.
What would you have on your dream Pandora bracelet? Has anyone else entered?
