I know I do!
Best British Bloggers & Money Supermarket are the masterminds behind Passion for Fashion 2, a competition for style savvy bloggers on a budget. There are some fantastic prizes up for grabs including a Spring/Summer wardrobe worth £1000! And since it’s Wishlist Wednesday in the world of Teacups & Cocktails, I thought it would be a great time to post my entry (because after all, I desperately need a new Spring/Summer wardobe, and even if I didn’t I’d still enter haha!)
To enter you simply have to create three outfits for the approaching Spring & Summer (i’m ever hopeful that it’s on it’s way!) one Casual, one Holiday/Beach & one for Party. Each outfit must have a budget of £200 (which is way more than I’d ever spend on an outfit, my money has to clothe both myself and my daughter). There will be a winner of each category who will win £200 and an over all winner who will be lucky enough to win a WHOOPING £1000! The categories will be judged by a different blogger and together they will select an over all winner. Sounds exciting, huh?
So without further ado.. I present my three hypothetical (should I win the lottery, of course) outfits!

Who else thinks Converse footwear are the epitome of casual? I know I do. I love the new “lite” style, they look so much more girly than the original (not that I’d trade my good ol’ black hightops for anything) and would not look out of place with a very feminine pleat skirt like the one i’ve picked out. I simply love the coral jumper from In Love With Fashion, it’s one of my favourite recent finds in online shopping and not only am I hopelessly in love with coral for spring, it has the cutest heart shaped elbow pads! I’ve gone with cream lace trim socks instead of tights, again I’m hoping for better weather at some point so I can get my milk bottles out and hopefully gain a bit of colour on them! I’m seriously lusting after a Crown & Glory flower headband for the spring, I always associate floral patterns and flowers with the warmer seasons (although I admit I wear floral dresses in the winter!) I also associate warmer make up so along those lines i’ve chosen a coral blush, which of course also ties in with my jumper of choice. I also cannot live without lip balm once the sun comes out, my sister has this strawberry carmex tube and it just reminds me of summer, Wimbledon & strawberries with cream! Finally.. a casual outfit usually comes with my daughter which means I need a big sturdy bag for carrying everything a one year old & her mother may need! I’m desperately saving for a Marc B beauty like the one i’ve picked out. Tan is a must for an every day bag, for me anyway!

Hello Monochrome! Def my favourite trend of 2013! I wear a lot of black anyway. I’ve also gone with Holiday opposed to Beach because I’m not nor have I ever been a ‘beach bum’ I much prefer holidays full of adventure.. like Greece, Italy.. exploring some ruins before having a few hours by the sea. Bliss.
Anyway, having just had a baby last year if I was even to consider getting my post child bod out I know I’d only be able to pull off black. Being only twenty five, I don’t want to have to resign myself to the one piece yet and after a browse on the Topshop website I now know I don’t have to! I am in love with this Yes Master two piece, the black with hand drawn white stars just looks awesome but also HIGH WAIST BIKINI BOTTOMS! Amazing. If I had been going abroad this year I would of invested in this set for sure. I love the fringed cover up for two reasons.. one it’s so classy it could be worn day or night, in the city or by the sea, so versatile but also because it’s ombre. I love ombre & dip dye. Hence my hair. The wedges are just fantastic, I could see myself looking very stylish again, great for day or night, just like the bag! Big enough for all essentials for the day ahead without looking TOO big. And everyone is lusting after Zara bags this season, no wonder since they have such a fantastic range! Every year I buy a pair of Audrey Hepburn circa Breakfast at Tiffanys shades, they are my all time favourite style. And if i’m on holiday in the sun, I have to wear a hat or it’s HELLO SUNSTROKE! I love this floppy style, my old one is falling apart now and this looks like a great replacement.. And last but not least, that pop of colour which in my opinion is a MUST wit monochrome. As much as I love black (and white) I need some colour. I’m in love with the Barry M Gel varnishes at the moment (I own Blueberry & Watermelon) Pomegranate looks like a perfect summer shade and stands out amazingly against the monochrome.

This final outfit, my party outfit, is inspired by the ladies of Mad Men. I’m not really the glitz and glam “party” girl I was a few years back. I certainly would never go on a partying holiday. I’m more of a cocktails girl these days and this outfit is perfect for a summer evening of cocktails! I love this dress from the Kelly Brook range (as you know from my underwear post) at New Look so much, I especially think I could pull it off with the aid of some slimming pants to keep those pesky post baby bumps in order. The neckline I image would be really flattering and I’m a complete sucker for floral patterns. It’s also a bargain price! The shoes are coral (again, cannot resist my favourite colour to wear) and would tie in perfectly with the roses on the dress, they remind me those my granny used to wear, she is forever the most glamorous woman I’ve ever known. The bag is super cute and the basket weave is perfect for partying in the spring/summer months. If I’m being inspired by Mad Men, bright red lipstick is a MUST and if I’m sipping cocktails all night it has to last thus choosing Rimmel’s Apocalips in Big Bang. I already own two other shades and I just love how long I can go even when eating and drinking without reapplying. Great if you plan on getting a little tipsy and forget to reapply like me! Along with the bright red lipstick, I need the black eyeliner on the lids, NARS is the big one on my wishlist. Now it wouldn’t be a party piece without jewels, now would it? I’ve gone for a statement necklace & some pearl studs, very Mad Men esq.. well the studs anyway, the statement necklace is more S/S 2013 but I can’t resist anything flora related!
There you have it! What do you think? I had so much fun trawling the Internet to find my perfect outfits!
