This is going to be a short one again tonight. I just don’t want to get out of the blogging way but I’m so tired at the moment with this teething malarky. I’ve also been chief babysitter while my mum helped my sister to move house this week. Two under twos are hard work, I take my hat off to mothers of twins! I seriously sleep every afternoon during nap time, this afternoon all the blankets were upstairs so I took a nap under my mums rug.. that has got to be a low point!
Anyway, tonight I’m bringing you a review of another of my favourite recent finds from Lush, the Popcorn Lip Scrub.
I have always suffered with dry lips since I was a little kid, one of the few ailments I inherited from my dad. I have tried all sorts of lipbalms and nothing works. Short of being really gross and picking the skin or using a toothbrush nothing works to get rid of it.. until I was recommended this by a lady on the twitter #bbloggers chat.
It retails at £5.25 which I never mind paying for a product from Lush. I love Lush products (have I made that clear yet?!) and I always feel with them you get what you pay for. Anyway, the scrub comes in three flavours for use of a better word, Bubblegum, Mint Julips & Popcorn. I’d been recommended the Popcorn one so that is what I went for. On the Lush website it states:
“Coconut and jojoba oils, sugar, sea salt and polenta are the perfect mix to buff your lips to perfection and leave them smooth and moisturised.“
I’ll be honest, what sold me the most on this lip scrub is the fact that it tastes of sweet and salty.. my favourite combination. Of course it works too! I know some people only use this a few times a week however due to my flaky lips I use it every morning. I put it on my lips, top first, massaging it in then lick it off, it tastes really good. Then I repeat with the bottom. After I’ve used the scrub I layer on some Body Shop lip butter to moisturise as sometimes I take a bit too much skin off with vigorous rubbing hehe.
I would recommend this scrub, it’s great and lasts for ages. After using it every day for a month i’ve still got half a tub to go. However, I will admit next time I will make my own using a tutorial i’ve seen on Tea & Lead.
That’s it, I’m off to bed! Let me know if you have this or want to give it a try!
