Benefit Fine One One Review

As I’m away for a few days I thought i’d schedule some posts. This first one is a beauty review for Benefit’s Fine One One. I bought this as a birthday treat a few weeks back after trying it the Fake Up event. I’ve always been rubbish at contouring so when I found a product that would basically do it for me I just had to have it! I know it’s had some mixed reviews but I love it, and here is why!
Let me first say I’m not normally a fan of cream blushes. I struggle to blend them and I just look silly.. that was until I picked up Fine One One which you can buy for £23.50. It is so easy to blend in and gives me serious cheek bones which I never normally have! Anyway, before I continue gushing on about it, lets see what Benefit has to say.

Fine-one-one to the rescue! This sheer brightening cheek & lip color gives your look instant LIFT, SHAPE and POP. Glide on the three shades: pink champagne, sheer watermelon and soft coral. For a sheer coral pink flush that builds from soft & natural to bright & cheery.

Glide from the apple of your cheek to your temple…then blend with fingertips in an upward circular motion.”

First thoughts is that it feels wonderfully silky and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. I was a bit intimidated by the form it comes in but after swatching it on my arm and practicing blending it in I knew we were going to get on well. Of course the name is a play on of the US emergency services code 911. It comes with a little ‘how to’ booklet like most Benefit products but I’d been lucky enough to have it explained to me by a Benebabe at the Fake Up event. I applied it from the apple of my cheeks to my temple, it does look quite silly until you blend it in. Rather than using my finger I use my blush brush to blend upward until I no longer have three block colours but one nice pinky coral with some shimmery highlighter on the top of my cheekbones and a darker shade defining them, perfectly contoured!

I do love me a coral blush so I will be buying this again if it runs out before the summer. I really hope Benefit think of bringing out some different colours in this same format because I can finally have beautifully contoured cheeks! The colour also lasts longer than all my powder blushes which is great for a night out as I hate taking loads of make up out with me. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely summer shade and struggles contouring!
