#165 A Wednesday Wishlist – Home Edition Part 7

Welcome to the final one of my Wednesday Wishlist, Home Edition. Tomorrow I find out if I have a new home to go to, keep everything crossed for me. I’ve got a lot of things purchased now, some stuff off my wishlist which really makes me happy. Of course in the beginning I can’t afford everything so the place will be my very first fixer-upper! Everywhere i’ve lived prior to this I’ve gone in and just lived in it as it is. Most of the places have been furnished, either student flats or a professional home and none of them have ever been mine to decorate. I know I appear to be counting my chickens or my eggs before they’ve hatched.. or whatever the turn of phrase is but I can’t remember the last time I ever wanted anything as much. Not just for me, but for Little Miss especially.
Anyway, I have a lot to do tonight so I should stop my rambling. Tonight’s wishlist is a collection of things I’d love but I can’t even begin to budget for.. therefore this is my dream housewarming list. In my family (apart from my sister and I) we don’t do “nice” housewarming gifts, it’s more something useful that you need. In the past I’ve gotten a microwave, curtains, a dvd rack and a rug. All lovely gifts but nothing really pretty, nothing where you open the packaging and you go “OH THAT’S BEAUTIFUL”. I know I sound like an ungrateful brat but for once I’d like something pretty but useless.. however I know these will be things I have to save up for instead.

1. Flour Shaker £4, Cath Kidston // 2. Cake Stand £11, Cath Kidston
3. Polly Cat Cushion £17.45, Sass & Belle // 4. Owl Peg Bag £10.99, Amazon  // 5. Sewing Box £26, Cath Kidston
6. Thomas Kinkade Snow White Canvas £13.34, eBay // 7. Daenerys Pop Figure £8.99, Forbidden Planet // 8. Family & Friends Frames £20, Next
So anyone who knows me in person will know I love Cath Kidston.. my phone case, glasses case, make up bag, toiletry bag are all the same pattern and Little Miss also has a bag she takes to nursery from the kiddies range, as well as two hairbands and some clips I bought for her stocking last year. I want my house to be the epitome of shabby chic. Not only that, but Cath Kidston has the best sale on at the moment, 1, 2 & 5 are just a small handful of the things I have my eye on, such as a new passport cover, a glasses case for my second pair of glasses and a ticket holder! Not only that but I think Cath Kidston stuff is amazing quality, you definitely get what you pay for. The Sass and Belle cushion is for my bed, I have the owl already in the same pattern and she needs a friend. I’m also leaving the cat with my parents, it’s definitely going to be one of the hardest things about moving out, so this wee cushion will be a soft reminder of her. I’m sure I’ve mentioned before about my hidden owl idea (in case I haven’t my house is basically going to be my version of the Disney Parks Hidden Mickey idea haha) this is so cute and would be great to keep my pegs in. My sister has bought me four Thomas Kinkade canvas prints for my house, three of which are for Little Miss though, the only one I get to keep is the Peter Pan one.. however since Snow White is my favourite fairytale (not Disney Princess) I feel I need this print to keep Peter Pan company in my room. Got to have something to represent my love of Game of Thrones andt this little Daenerys figure is perfect, I’d love to stand her on my bookcase shelf beside my GoTs books. Finally, in my opinion, you can never have enough frames! These ones from Next are just perfect for on my mantle!
Phew! I didn’t realise I had so much to say about this little list! I just realised I didn’t include any Yankee Candles.. not that I don’t already have a ton of those.. ha!
Is anyone else moving any time soon? What would be on your housewarming list?
