I’m really excited that Amy has invited me to guest post for her; it’s always great when one of your favourite bloggers has that kind of confidence in you, right?! Anyway, as I’m currently doing a 52 Weeks/52Polishes challenge on my blog (which you can join in with, if you like), she’s asked me to do a rundown of my current favourite polishes. I’m a big fan of a bit of glitter and shimmer, so I’ve highlighted a few of my favourite sparklers (as well as a couple of more ‘work friendly’ shades!)
butterLONDON– I love this brand so, so much. The range of colours is just wonderful and, by and large, the formula is great. There’s a range that encompasses nudes, glitters and everything in between. Although they are slightly pricey (£12 in Boots), there are some bargains to be had on eBay! My favourite colours from butterLONDON are Yummy Mummy, a suit-all neutral and Victoriana, a shimmery, slightly gothic smoky blue.

Maybelline Color Show– Maybelline have really upped their game in the nail polish department this year; their Color Show nail polish is actually the longest lasting so far in my challenge. A smooth, creamy texture with a good range of colours, I highly recommend Brick Shimmer- a beautiful metallic that runs somewhere between bronze and rose gold. It’s so pretty! Also worth a special mention are the Polka Dots in Chalk Dust. They’re perfect for hiding chips!

a-England– I have a huge love of anything literature-related and this indie company’s range of polishes are inspired by everything from the poetry of Shelley and the legends of King Arthur. My stand-out range, though, is the new ‘Burne-Jones’ Dream’, a collection inspired by the Pre-Raphaelite painter Edward Burne-Jones. I’ve just ordered Briarwood and Beauty Never Fades. Just gorgeous, shimmery, holographic wonderfulness in a bottle!

Ciate Nails– a brilliant range of every kind of colour, Ciate have possibly my favourite formula of all the nail polishes I’ve tried thus far. I’m a big fan of Shopping Spree and Fade to Greige; both are complete opposites, but equally as lovely. This brand is often given away as a freebie on magazines, so keep your eyes peeled!
