#207 Shopping Spotlight – Treat Republic

I can feel that c word coming up again, to quote Mean Girls, it’s like “word vomit” at the moment! But yes, Christmas. It’s just under 12 weeks now and if you get paid monthly you’ll only have two more pay days to come before the big day! So I know from my twitter feed some people (especially mummy bloggers) have already made a start, myself included!
I don’t know about you but i’m always looking for unique and unusual gifts to get my friends and family. I have a bit of a fear of buying someone something they already have so I’m always trailing around websites such as Etsy, Not On The Highstreet and now the newest to add to my list is Treat Republic. Treat Republic specialises in personalised gifts and when I was asked to review a product of my choice I couldn’t wait! I am a sucked for personalised gifts, especially when it comes to children. The majority of the little bits and pieces I bought for my daughter last Christmas and her birthday are personalised. So of course when it came to choosing it wasn’t too difficult, I knew instantly that I wanted to get something for her. After a little while browsing at all the gorgeous things on offer (and at the time mentally making a shopping list) I decided to go for this, the personalised fairy engraved door hanger *.
Personalised Engraved Fairy Door Hanger £14.99, Treat Republic *

Sneak peak before Little Miss’ bedroom tour!
For once you’re all being privy to Little Miss’ real name. I don’t use it on here for personal reasons but I could hardly do a good review if I hid the detailing on her name!
For a personalised item the delivery time was less than a week, I found that to be fantastic! I had expected at least two due to the personalisation which is what most other companies offer. The sign itself is very lightweight which is perfect for hanging on a door, due to my lack of DIY skills I can only really push in drawing pins and one of those holds the sign securely. It’s nicely sanded and left unvarnished which I don’t mind in the slightest, it gives it that shabby chic look that I have running throughout my house. The detail on the fairy is exquisite and I love the font used. It really is brilliant quality and would make a lovely gift for someone who has just had a baby or as a Christmas or birthday gift. It retails at £14.99 which includes the personalisation! You can also get a boy version,  with a lion on it.
If you sign up with your email address you can get an exclusive 5% off your order and it’s free delivery over £40 which will definitely come in handy with Christmas shopping!
Treat Republic is perfect if you’re looking for that something special for a hard to buy for family member and it has some really wonderful keepsake gifts for celebrating anniversaries, weddings or birthdays. The romantic section sort of makes me wish I had a man to buy for this year, but at least Treat Republic has solved my shopping dilemma when it comes to my mum and dad.
