Guest Post // My Changing Season Essentials

While in Paris i’ve asked a couple of girls to guest blog for me as I no way had enough time to schedule enough posts myself with Little Miss on the go! First up we have the lovely Tasha, she is going to give us a post on her Changing Season Essentials.

As we get closer and closer towards Winter, there’s a handful of products I find myself reaching for on a daily basis. I love Autumn; wrapping up warm in numerous layers and watching all the leaves changing colour and falling from the trees, it’s a beautiful season and if I’m honest I feel more comfortable dressing for the colder months.
A good moisturiser is a must and lately I’ve found this L’Oreal Triple Active Day Moisturiser to be really hydrating and as it’s a little thicker than what I would usually use, it’s perfect for the colder months to keep your skin soft.
On a similar note, hand cream is something I can’t leave the house without. Currently I’m reaching for this L’Occitane one which I got free with Marie Claire and I can safely say when I run out, I’ll be heading down to my nearest store to buy more!
I’d like to say I’m tanned in the summer but who am I kidding! I’m relatively pale all year round but especially in A/W I find I need to pick up a lighter foundation. Rimmel’s Match Perfection gives a medium coverage that’s pretty buildable and doesn’t cling to any dry areas making it a winner in my books.
I’m not usually one for a dark lip (as I’m yet to find one that suits me) so I tend to stick to pinks and reds. MAC’s Crosswires is a lovely coral/pink cremesheen lipstick that’s great for everyday or when you want something a little more subtle, Maybelline’s Baby Lips in Cherry Kiss is a great alternative.
With the dark mornings I find it hard to get out of bed and usually look very sleepy. A good mascara is great for making you look more awake and Clinique’s High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara is incredible. It doesn’t go gloopy, makes my lashes look longer and curled and you can get a waterproof version too!
Perfume is a key part of my transition between seasons and I find certain scents remind me of particular times of year. Paco Rabanne Lady Million is one that reminds me of Autumn and a favourite I keep asking for time and time again!
That’s the end of my beauty essentials but I really recommend a good scarf, this one is from H&M maybe last year? I love tartan scarves, not only do they keep you warm but they add a flash of colour to your outfit. One final thing I’d suggest would be a hat and in my case the bigger the pompom the better!
What are your essentials for the transition into A/W?
