End of Year Blogging Goals

Happy Friday Guys! Sorry there isn’t a reads for the weekend today but due to being in bed ill for the best part of the week (aka last weekend) I didn’t get a chance to keep track of my favourite posts to share.. so instead of giving you all a half hearted Reads for the Weekend, I’m going to share my blogging goals I’m hoping to reach by the end of 2013.
2013 has been a really shitty, pardon my language, year for me in so many ways, but as I approach the end of the year things are starting to look up (touch wood) and i’m really looking forward to a more positive and enjoyable 2014. Anyway, the one thing I will take away from this year is the fact my little blog has done so well. In the darkest times it’s kept me going and really helped me see the positive in this bleak year Thanks to my blog a job opportunity has come along which is helping the financial strain and I’ve met the most wonderful people, I really don’t think I’d of come out this year fighting without the support i’ve had through my blog, on twitter and in person.
While I was sick this week I got thinking about what blog goals I’d like to achieve before the end of the year, goals that would really put the icing on my first excellent calendar year as a blogger. And this is what I came up with.
Yes, it’s not a huge one. I know some bloggers who surpassed the 1000 mark in their first year but for me, 400 is an insane number and to reach it by the 31st December 2013 is looking fairly possible at the moment as I’m currently 8 away.
Quite possibly a less achievable goal than the previous as I currently stand at 455 meaning I’m 45 away from this target.. that’s quite a lot to achieve in 46 days but I’m hopeful!
I’m really getting into the realms of the unrealistic here! I only surpassed 1000 followers last week and now i’m expecting another 200 in 46 days! I am probably asking a lot here, I don’t even understand why people want to listen to my incisive moaning on twitter anyway..
And finally, 100 Facebook Likes
This one, I’m not that bothered about, it’s more because i’d like a round number rather than being on 83. I mean, I’m not complain, 83 is a fantastic number given Facebook is kinda awful but it’s an OCD thing to crave a rounder number.
I know blogging isn’t all about the amount of followers you have but it would be a lovely end to the year and if it doesn’t happen? Hey, it’s not the end of the world.. I’ve dealt with way worse this year. This is more a trivial thing because I’m superficial and have OCD!
I also have a goal to attend another blogging event! It’s been so long since I went to one due to not being able to get a babysitter for local ones or being invited to ones in London. I really miss socialising with bloggers, they are such good fun and I always come away with new friends. That’s always a bonus!
Have a nice weekend xx
