I figured it had been a while since I’d shared a Shopping Spotlight, so here we have one today. I got so caught up in all my Paris/French related blog posts that some of my regular features have been left by the sideline. Look out for a few of them cropping up over the next few weeks!
This evening’s Shopping Spotlight is for once of my old haunts when I lived in Newcastle, Triple S. Triple S stocks a whole host of labels from Superdry to Pop Vintage. I say it was my favourite haunt when I lived in Newcastle because the Metro Centre and the city centre had a store, it was so handy when I was going through my “not on the high street phase” where I was so obsessed with not buying from stores such as H&M and New Look in case while I was out and about someone else had the same outfit as me. Five years later I realise it was one of my ridiculous decisions but I did have a pretty awesome wardrobe!
When I was offered the chance to relieve my younger self and pick something, I really did struggle as there was so much I wanted. I guess my style hasn’t really evolved that much in the last few years. In the end I went for my usual “safe” option of something I could wear both during the day or in the evening. My whole wardrobe is made up of transitional pieces these days.
Glamorous PU Sleeve Tunic* £25, Triple S
Plum Tights £2.99, Primark
T-Bar Shoes £32, Topshop
I really love this tunic, because despite it appearing shapeless on the hanger, when on it looks great. I’m not a huge fan of anything clingy, especially during the day when I’m out and about with my daughter. The leather looks sleeves give it an edge so it can be worn in the evening and the cut of the dress means it also can work for a job interview teamed with some plain black tights, a blazer and some court shoes. With it being by Glamorous, it’s good quality and washes well.
Triple S has currently has some great online exclusives if you’re looking for some new key pieces for your winter wardrobe or something to wear to your Christmas party. They also have an offer on for 10% off a £50 spend and 20% off £100 spend as well as free delivery over £25. I have my eye on this jacket at the moment which would be less than £50 with the 10% off and free postage.
