Outfit of the Day – Lucky Denver Mint

Wow, it’s really been ages since I did an outfit post, so much for my resolution to do them weekly! I put it down to the bad weather, having the flu and Little Miss being under the weather. But I’m back today with one. I wanted to share the beautiful French Connection dress I received that I plan to wear out to dinner when the girls come visit me the week before my birthday. The sun was out this morning when I took these photos and it made me feel so happy, like perhaps this dreadful weather wasn’t going to last forever and eventually we’ll have Spring. This dress really makes me think of Spring as it’s mint, my favourite of the pastel colours, and we all know how pastel colours go hand in hand with Spring fashion! Since it’s still miserable most of the time I’ve teamed it with a black cardigan but I opted for nude tights rather than my staple black.
I’m still not 100% with my new camera yet, I have ordered a remote so hopefully next time I do an outfit post all the photos will be in focus, rather than just the odd few. I still like them, for once I genuinely think I look quite nice. This outfit would be lovely for a wedding, if I knew anyone getting married this summer.. well I do know people but I don’t think I’m on their to-invite list! Ha.

Ack, just realised i’m smiling in all these photos, so unlike me! Anyway, the dress! It’s beautiful, right? It’s slightly too big as I instinctively order a 12 even though I’m not really anymore, but I kinda like the way it hangs because it is a little bit bigger. The skirt is very Marilyn Munroe esq, I tried to get a photo of me swishing it around (the third one) but it didn’t work very well. But take my word for it, it’s swishy. As ever with French Connection, you get what you pay for, amazing quality and a truly beautiful product.
Just after Christmas I treated myself to a Mystery Gift Box from Crown and Glory. I’ve always been in awe of their products and I bought a couple of glittery bows Christmas 2012, however I was always worried I wouldn’t suit one of the flower hairbands. However, when it arrived and I saw this gorgeous dusky pink peony hairband, I knew I was in love. I find myself on the website lusting after the different floral crowns and headbands at least once a week!
Anyone else already thinking about Spring fashion, or is it just me?
