A Wednesday Wishlist – It’s My Birthday!

Well it’s not my birthday, but it will be three weeks on Friday! Where has this year went? I remember making my wishlist for the blog last year and here I am, making it for my twenty SIXTH birthday. As my sister happily keeps reminding me, I’ll be closer to thirty than twenty. Nice. To be honest, I’m not too bothered about being twenty six, at the end of the day I have a two year old daughter and my own home. I might not be able to drive, but hey walking everywhere has meant I’ve managed to maintain a weight i’m happy with and I might not have a steady job, but I’m bloody good with money and we get by. I can honestly say I’m in a much better place than I was last year at this time and I’m definitely so much happier! Yes, I had bad days where I miss my friends so bloody much but when I see my mum with Little Miss, I’m glad she’s getting to enjoy her, and more so when I see my grandparents with her, I’m so thankful to have them in my life.
Anyway, I’m getting sentimental and no doubt i’ll spout all the same crap on my birthday (14th March, people, get it in your diary.. just kidding!) I’m travelling down to see my best friend Bee on my birthday, I’m so looking forward to it! The week before my birthday my two best gals from uni are coming to stay for the weekend and we’re going out for a meal and a few drinks. Then a week and a half after my birthday Hayley is coming up for a few days. March is shaping up to be a good month! And on the 31st Frozen comes out on DVD! OOOH AND MOTHERS DAY AND PANCAKE DAY! Wow, fingers crossed it is as good as it sounds!
This year for my birthday I’m really not getting anything apart from a gift from Little Miss. My parents are giving me money to go towards certain trips. But it’s still NICE to make a birthday wishlist, like I did with Christmas. So if I was receiving gifts this year, this is what I’d like.
Crown and Glory Lotta Rosie Headband in Ocean // Gossip from the Forest by Sara Maitland Book // Paris Street Style Book // Flamingo Candle in Lemon and Lime Mojito
Lush, Lots of It // Pandora Passport and Wanderlust Charms // Disney Traditions Rapunzel
You know, I actually had trouble writing this. I guess I still would like everything I put in my Christmas wishlist because as I mentioned I wasn’t getting much then either (apart from the Lord & Berry and NARS items). There is a lot of items of clothes I want there but I really don’t like receiving clothes as gifts unless it’s something I’ve specifically said I’ve liked. It’s not because I’m ungrateful, it’s just because I’ve had many years of my mother and sister buying me stuff they’d like to see me in, not stuff I’d actually wear, anyone else have that problem?
So, this is my little wishlist I’ve come up with. The hairband is mainly because as I mentioned yesterday, I’m slightly in love with Crown and Glory at the moment. This beautiful Lotta Rosie headband in Ocean will go with a lot of my outfits as I wear a lot of blue. I also think it’ll look lovely against my hair. And it wouldn’t be a birthday without the gift of literature. Gossip from the Forest, is another book about different versions of fairytales, how could I say no after I LOVED The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly. It also includes a lot of history behind the fairytales. Right up my street. The other book is Paris Street Style, oh how I do love the Parisien fashion. I’m currently running low on candles and i’ve been desperate to try something by Flamingo Candles for a while, my dream one would be of course the one that smells of mojito.. not only will it go perfectly in my living room but the perfect fresh scent will be great for the Spring. Lush pops up on a lot of my wishlists, mainly because I REALLY love the bath bombs and bubble bars, I’m down to my last three so a whole host of Lush would be a perfect gift for me. I’m still working hard on filling up my Pandora bracelet and I love to receive new charms for it as gifts. The two that are most relevant to my life at the moment are the passport and wanderlust charms, although I wouldn’t say no to the cat! Finally, they have FINALLY released the Disney Tradition I’ve been after for ages over in the UK! It’s this gorgeous Rapunzel one from Tangled. I already have four but I’d really like to expand my collection. I also really love the Snow White one.
And there we have it, for another year! Despite being on a spending ban less kick there isn’t a huge deal of things I want. No idea what I’m going to put on my Spending Ban Update Wishlist later on in the month!
