Adventuring in Louth

The past three days I’ve been lucky enough to be in the company of my best friend Bee and her family. As my mother works in a school, unless I’m ill or have something important to do, she rarely has Little Miss for me, and she never had her over night, except when she’s on holiday which has been for the last week. So on Wednesday I caught the train down the country at 8:10am to make sure I made the most of the time I had. I arrived just before lunchtime and spent my first day catching up as I hadn’t seen Bee since a few days before Christmas. The chilling out was exactly what I needed, as well as some girl time which I rarely ever have. Sometimes sitting around, doing nothing but drinking tea and talking is exactly what you need to do. I’m so lucky that our friendship is one of those, that no matter how long we go without seeing each other (although it does quite frankly suck and we both end up moaning when it’s really been too long) we always have plenty to talk about.
The second day however, her eldest daughter had requested we do some kind of “trail” from Treasure Trails, like the one we did back in August. This time instead of a murder mystery one, she chose a spy trail in the near by town of Louth. The weather turned out to be sunny and quite mild so on the whole it seemed to be thoroughly enjoyed by all. I really love just spending time with Bee and her family, I love her girls to pieces, as much as I do my own nephew (which is a LOT, in case anyone thought I didn’t love my nephew very much ha!) That evening we ordered take away, since I rarely have it now I live alone, and once the kids were in bed we cracked open the wine and watched the Bachelorette, which was awful, I don’t recommend it in the slightest!
I took some really nice photos while we did the spy trail and I thought i’d share them this evening.

After an adventurous day yesterday, today was much quieter with a short trip into town before coming home for left over pizza as lunch. It was as usual, a great trip and really reminded me how much I miss Bee. Thankfully I’m back in three weeks for my birthday weekend, and I’m so excited. But as ever, coming home to a sleepy Little Miss made it worth while.
