Paul Mitchell Neuro Styling Event in Newcastle

So yesterday I was kindly invited to one of the Gary Hedley Salons for the Paul Mitchell Intelligent Styling Event. I haven’t been to an actual even since last year and so far only two blog meets so needless to say, I was excited. I met up with a few other bloggers at the entrance to Eldon Square before we all nervously headed down to the salon, not really knowing what to expect. It was a really intimate event and we were welcomed warmly. Instantly supplied with drinks and offered canapes. There were a few bloggers there I recognised but we were surrounded by stylists and models so it was hard to all chat. Not that it mattered, we were here to learn all about how to be “Fabulous in Five
As well as the drinks and canapes, we each had the chance to have our hair styled. After a few drinks I felt brave enough to let a lovely guy called Liam get his hands on my hair (which in case you hadn’t realised, I sort of love!) While I was in the chair he explained about their new range of styling tools called Neuro. Neuro Styling is made up 6 different tools including straighteners, curling rods and a hair dryer. These are all chipped so they reach the requested temperature and then regulates it 50 times per second ensuring they never go over the temperature required. They also only take 30 seconds to reach the top setting of 230 degrees! They looked so easy to use, I’d really love to get my hand on Neuro Curl which was used to style my hair. Christmas present perhaps!
Anyway, I was of course armed with my camera, and you know what they say “a picture is worth a 1000 words” so here are some of the photos I snapped while there and some the lovely Amy of The Girl in the Bowler Hat snapped of me having my hair styled.

I have to admit, this was one of my favourite events ever. Everyone was happy to help, very welcoming especially to girls like myself who weren’t familiar with what they do with salon. Everyone showed real interested in the bloggers, having not worked with any of us from the North East. It was really refreshing. The staff constantly made sure we had a drink in our hands and Gary Hedley himself was incredibly friendly (he even personally took my coat!) I felt complete at ease the whole evening, even when I was having my hair styled, something i’m not used to! And I loved my mermaid locks I came away with, I was a little heart broken when the rain ruined them. But it’s definitely inspired me to have a shot myself, or even better, get my butt back to the salon and have them done again as a treat!

We each came away with a goodie bag that had some style cards in, some more information on Neuro Intelligent Styling.

Thank you so much for having me, it was enlightening to learn more about Paul Mitchell Intelligent Styling.
