Disney Cosplay – Ariel, The Little Mermaid

As you saw in my London Film and Comicon post from a few days ago on the Saturday along with Bee, her partner Chris, her brother Chris and his girlfriend Erika, we dabbled in the world of cosplay.. and I don’t know about them, but I definitely caught the bug! Although I do put this down the fact I am slightly in love with my dress.
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’ll know that for a long time I’ve wanted to cosplay Ariel from The Little Mermaid, in particularly the blue dress that she wears when Eric is showing her around the kingdom. So when deciding who to go as, this was my top choice, even more so when the wonderful Claire from The Princess and The Frock offered to make me a dress. You probably recognise the name since it’s where I bought Little Miss’ Rapunzel inspired dress from for Disneyland Paris. Claire was a complete saint, not only did she make the dress exactly to how I wanted, including making the sleeves 3/4 length rather than to the wrist, but she paid for it to be returned to her to be adjusted so it fitted perfectly. It really is an understatement to say how much I truly love this dress, even to the point I didn’t care about the fact a few people walking their dog saw me take these photos at the beach. I’d do it again, in fact I want to dress up as a Disney Princess for the rest of my life. I’m a bit sad to see my bright red hair fade, and the sun was so bright I look like I’m squinting. But never mind, you get the picture!

So my eyes are a bit too almond, my smile is crooked and my hair is flat, but who cares? I achieved on of my ambitions in life & I can’t wait to do it again!
