Summer Favourites

LINKS HAVE BEEN REMOVED AS ITEMS NO LONGER FOR SALE
If you’ve been following this blog for a while you know every season I put together a little selection of my favourites. Sometimes it includes things other than all beauty products, however this month is not the case! So here we have a selection of products I’ve been loving for my skin, hair & body. In the summer I tend to ditch make up maybe 5 out of 7 days a week so there aren’t any make up products I’ve really been favoring at the moment, and to be honest, my skin looks so much better for it!
From the bottles alone you can tell these products are meant to be loved in the summer, so many pale colours and pastels! They do look pretty, see what I mean?

Starting with skincare; earlier last month Balance Me got in touch to tell me about a competition they’re running their Beauty Voyage Campaign which is SO simple to enter and has been running through July too the end of August. They also offered to send me one of their new products, their Extra Care Natural Protection Moisturiser SPF 25* (RRP £26) which I instantly started to use as my fair skin was craving some serious every day SPF. This light weight moisturiser not only protects my skin, but it leaves it soft and plumped. It also absorbs quickly which is going to come in handy when I’m desperate to get on the go while on holiday in a few weeks time! Next up is the Vitamin C Skin Reviver which I actually raved about last summer on my Get Your Summer Face On post. I repurchased it for this summer as I loved it so much. I used it on top of my moisturiser for when I’m going without BB cream or foundation. It has a consistancy of The Porefessional or Baby Skin and it sort of works like that too, it fives my skin a smoother appearance which is so important when going without make up. Another dream product if you’re going make up free is one I was lucky enough to receive in June’s Birchbox it’s Caudalie Vinoperfect SPF15 Day Perfecting Fluid and I’m sad to say I used the last of it today! It smells divine which is probably why I’ve kept on going back to it over the last month but it also makes my skin feel so incredibly nice and lets not forget about the SPF15 in it. Finally, since LFCC I have been besotted with One Love Organics Skin Saviour Beauty Balm* (RRP £52) that I got in my #lincsblogmeet goody bag. It’s the first cleansing balm I’ve ever used and I think I’m hooked! This one smells amazing and makes my skin feel so clean after i’ve used it. I’ve found using it after my micellar water the best way to ensure every trace of make up is removed from my face. I’m so glad I have a back up of it as i’ve nearly used this first tub in a month!
Next I’ll cover my favourite fragrances and body sprays. My perfume of choice this summer has 100% been Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh. This is probably one of my favourite Marc Jacobs perfumes, it’s so light and summery, I have to admit I’m so glad my parents bought me the 100ml bottle. It was actually my choice for favourite perfume in the 2012 Beauty Awards and has featured in my Brand of the Month post I dedicated to my perfume brand of choice. At the moment I’m carrying my The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Mist because it is such a gorgeously refreshing fragrance. It’s been great when it’s been really hot and I’ve been paranoid about stinking, spritzing this has definitely looked a lot more graceful than spraying deodorant! Speaking of deodorant, I am in love with the Weleda Citrus Deodorant* (RRP £8.95) I was lucky enough to win at the #lincsblogmeet. It smells like mojito and is so refreshing during the warm weather. I won’t go on too much about it as I already mentioned it in this months Brand of the Month post!
Finally onto my haircare winners of the moment. First up there is Batiste Dry Shampoo in Blush* (RRP £2.99). Although being an avid fan of dry shampoo since I became a mother, batiste is one of those cult brands I have actually never tried. This was also in the #lincsblogmeet goody bag and I have fallen in love with the fragrance. Blush is perfect for the summer and great if you constantly favour braids or top knots! Every month I seem to find a new texturising spray that I love, at the moment it’s Bleach London’s Swamp Spray. Hardly a nice name but it smells great and gives me mermaid hair, what more can I ask for? I’m over half way through my bottle but I have been using it religiously since mid may, which is pretty good going since I have a lot of hair!
