Shopping Spotlight – Culture Vulture

One of my favourite things about owning my own home is the fact I get to decide what goes on my walls. No posters of bands i’ve never heard of, no photos of kids I’m not related to, just things that are relevant to me and my princess. All my walls in my house are cream giving a nice blank canvas so I really have taken liberties in covering the walls. Although I have canvases and quotes, my favourite things to hang up are photos. I think that’s because it was what covered the walls in my parents home growing up. I take a lot of photos so I’m always on the look out for pretty new frames. So when I was offered some home ware to review from Culture Vulture, a website that has been on my house tab in my book marks since I found out I was moving last year, I instantly chose some photo frames as I hadn’t hung any photos from our trip to Disneyland Paris yet.

The first frame isn’t actually one frame, it’s a string of five 6×5 frames which is now home to some of my favourite snaps from our trip. The Kuthira Hanging Frames* is retails for a nice £19.99, which when you split it up, is about £4 per frame, you’re average price for a pretty 6×4 frame, right? The style echos the Aegean Coast, one of my favourite places in the world and would look perfect hanging in a kitchen or bathroom however in my house, it’s new home is at the top of my stairs, so anyone who comes to visit and uses our bathroom will be able to stop and look at the beautiful time we had on our first family holiday abroad together.

I also received two Zinc Glass Frames*, one in portrait and one in landscape separately they retail £9.99 or you can buy them both together for £18.98. What I love about these frames is their unique design and the fact you don’t have to put photos in. They’d be great for displaying tickets, or little souvenirs from a trip. They hang by a recycled sari cord which is incredibly strong so you have no fear of them falling. I toyed with the idea of displaying my tickets from LFCC, but in the end more photos won out and they’re now hanging above my dressing table as part of my collage wall.
