This week I have been so incredibly choked with the cold, not just me, but Little Miss too. Meaning lots of early nights, hot drinks and Disney movies. Having a cold as a parent is 10 times harder than having a cold when you’re not a parent, and then when your child also has said cold it’s 50 times harder because although it’s nice you can curl up on the sofa and watch a movie, you’re also short tempered, hot & cold and physically exhausted. This week has been incredibly trying and thus, I haven’t blogged. I was pretty sad to see when I checked my blog today I’d lost 5 followers, and I guess that’s what has kicked me up the butt to blog today.
I know in the past I’ve struggled to keep a weekly series going, especially on a Friday.. we’ve had The Friday Five & Reads of the Weekend, neither of which stuck and here I am starting a new one. I have always adored Leona’s Wednesday Loves (this week Little Miss featured!), Becky’s Friday Favourites & Rachel’s Things I Love Thursday, and they always inspire me. As I haven’t done nearly enough life things to warrant blogging about on the blog due to desperately trying to save money, it’ll be nice to have somewhere each week to share the little things in life that are making me happy.
This weeks since I’m unwell, I apologise for the lack of my own personal photos!
Disney on Ice
Tomorrow Little Miss & I, along with my parents, sister and nephew are off to see Disney on Ice. When we were kids we often went and my dad promised that once LM & my nephew were old enough to enjoy it, we’d go again. True to his word, as soon as I shared that it was 100 Years of Magic he booked tickets and train tickets for us all to go. Little Miss has spent all week watching past shows on youTube and is super excited. 100 Years of Magic is incredibly special to our family as it was the celebration the last time we went to Disney World back in 2002. We sort have everything crossed for a rendition of “It’s Time To Remember The Magic” and no doubt I’ll cry as I did during Disney Dreams in Disneyland Paris. Little Miss is super excited to be wearing her Sofia the First costume & my nephew is going as Buzz Lightyear.
Advance Dining Reservations
This week has been a very exciting week in regards to our trip to Walt Disney World in Florida. This week we have been able to make our Advance Dining Reservations for our visit! Prior to this week Bee & I had discussed which ones we wanted, as the tables are released at 11am UK time meaning I would be doing the booking. If you want to picture me getting ready for 11am, just think of Anna in Frozen. We had three in common, Cinderella’s Royal Table, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall & Be Our Guest. Two of the most sort after dining experiences included in that list. And guess what? As of today we have managed to synch bookings in all three! The first two are character dining experiences with princesses (as between the two of us we have three very princess crazy girls) and Be Our Guest is without a doubt now the most in demand restaurant in the whole resort. As I’m staying on resort, I found out today I could book all of the restaurants even though Bee & her family are not. So I obviously did so now we have breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal Table, INSIDE THE CASTLE (childhood dream come true!), Akershus in Epcot for lunch & Be Our Guest for dinner. We’re also looking at 1900 Park Fare for breakfast on another morning and I have booked Chef Mickey for dinner on Little Miss & my last night, and Crystal Palace for our last breakfast.
Having Whatsapp Back
As my old phone was seriously on it’s way out, a lot of my apps had stopped working, Whatsapp being one of them. Since May (I think) I have been in a eight way convo with Rachel, Doris, Em, Mungle, Sian, Becky, Marie and Leona. We basically all pop in and out of the convo as we have time, sharing problems, anecdotes and various other parts of our lives with one another. They are absolutely amazing instant support. I feel really honored to have them in my life and be lucky enough to call them my friends. They also have fantastic blogs so you should go check them out!
I know a lot of people hate the discussion of Christmas this early on but I am so organised this year, in fact aside from stocking fillers for Little Miss & any secret santas I take part in, I am finished. This week I really cracked on and ordered paper & gift tags, as well as last bits and pieces for family and friends. Just waiting on everything to arrive. I had a huge order from The Disney Store arrive as basically what Little Miss is asking for from Santa Claus is all from there. It is so special that this year she’s able to ask and even though it’s all “dolls” I really couldn’t ask her to limit her choices.. luckily I had a 20% off code which definitely took the edge off.
And that’s it. I need a bath as we’re away early tomorrow and I’m still all flu-y. Next week I promise I’ll have a more comprehensive post filled with pretty photos and links! That’s if I manage to shake off this cold!
Have a nice weekend x
