I swear I’m trying to save for Florida.. but at the time of year where shopping becomes something you do a lot more of due to buying gifts for Christmas, it’s so hard not to spot things you REALLY want for yourself. I also think I have some form of kleptomania when it comes to Disney… Not stealing, more falling into my virtual basic during online shopping… Sometimes I manage to close the page before I purchase (like with Etsy, I have like £100 worth of stuff in my Etsy basket) but sometimes my best friend sees things I’d like and I have less will power when she’s buying it for me (for me to pay her of course).
So this is some of the bits i’ve picked up over the last few weeks. The Alice in Wonderland 2015 Diary is from BHS and part of a whole range of Alice bits. I love the colours and design, I think it looks very whimsical and grown up compared to a lot of Disney “Adult” bits you can get and when Bee found it in store and offered to pick one up for me, at £7 I couldn’t say no!
I’ve had the Walt Disney World with Kids travel guide on pre-order from Amazon for a while now and it arrived at the beginning of last week. I haven’t had time to look through it yet, but I’m hoping it will come in handy when planning for Florida. As I mentioned in my post the other day Little Miss is going to be too small for all my favourite rides so aside from meeting characters I want to find loads of other cool hidden gems for us to explore together. I’m also hoping to pick up The Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World at some point too.
The other week I made my first Cohorted purchase. A lot of bloggers have been raving about Cohorted, including my best friend so when I saw that the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray was going to be going live I set my alarm for 6pm. I managed to get it but I’m afraid I can’t remember the final price. I was so impressed with the service too and I’ll definitely be using it again next time something comes up I really want. For anyone who doesn’t know what Cohorted is yet; it’s a website that sells high end pieces, at a discounted price. The price depends on how many people purchase, the more people who purchase, the lower the price. You only pay the end price when the cohort closes too so that everyone pays the same. I think it’s a genius idea and they have some fantastic brands such as Real Techniques, Urban Decay, Benefit, MAC, Bobbi Brown and even Chanel!
The bottom two items are from Hot Topic. Despite the fact our last customs charge was over £100, Bee placed another order (which you can read about here) and kindly asked if there was anything I’d like and since I ALWAYS want something from Hot Topic I went for the two items at the top of my list, an Anna from Frozen bow & a pair of The Little Mermaid sunglasses. They arrived in timely manner for something coming from the US and I was actually at Bee’s when her parcel arrived so I was able to take them home. Of course after Bee posted her haul today on her blog I had a look on the website again and it’s fatal!
I also finally got my hands on some Lush Christmas items although when I was taking this photo I realised I hadn’t picked up my favourite item, Candy Mountain! It was so stressful last week in Meadow Hall that I must have missed it out so I’m a little bit disappointed. Everything else smells great though and I can’t wait to give them all a try. Some are old favourites Star Light, Star Bright (RRP £3.50), Fizzbanger (RRP £3.35) and The Melting Snowman (RRP £2.25) where as some are new to me The Christmas Penguin (RRP £3.25), The Christmas Penguin (RRP £3.25) and The Wizard who was only around for Halloween I’m afraid! And then there is Butterbear (RRP £1.95) who is a Christmas spin on one of my all time favourites, Butterball. I’m happy with what I picked up which came to just over £20. Hopefully I’ll be able to give the other Lush Christmas bath stuff a go when I’m next near a store.
What have you been buying lately?
