Walt Disney World Planning… 120 Days to Go

I can’t believe 30 days have passed already since I was writing my first planning update! I can’t believe 60 days have passed since we booked our dining reservations! I’m so glad we did as I checked the other day and there is nothing during the time we’re there for the restaurants we want! I have already been warned by some WDW cast members that the 10 days we’re there, 7 of which will be insanely busy! That means I need to be on the ball 60 days before to ensure I get the fast pass reservations I want, especially for Anna & Elsa!

As a WDW holiday is an on going planning operation, I have been busy the past month! I found out the other day that LM and I will receive magic bands while we’re on resort so I customised those on my My Disney Experience account. I’ve gone for pink as we’re both princesses. As our park passes were purchased else where I wasn’t sure we’d be getting them so I also bought a lanyard in my last Hot Topic order. But hey, I can use that for pins!
I also booked airport hotels, for when we leave and arrive. Our flight out is very early in the morning and we return late at night. As I’m taking LM I don’t want her to be over tired travelling back home so booking airport hotels seemed a smart thing to do. I used booking.com again because I was entitled to 20% off most hotels due to the amount I used it for my last holiday. What I like the most about booking.com is I don’t need to pay until I check in giving me time to save the money.
Since finishing my Christmas shopping and not getting sucked into Black Friday too much I have managed to save £300. This did actually take more than the past 30 days, I think I maybe had £80 saved on my last update. I’m aiming for £600 by the new year, but that will include Christmas money. Knowing I now have all my passes purchased and i’m actually saving mainly (I say mainly as I need to book transfers, pay for LM’s visa waiver, trains to and from the airport and of course insurance) spending money, it makes me so excited. I have a target, lets hope I reach it!
Finally, I have purchased pretty much all the clothes we need. Well at least I need! I will have a Disney dress for every day I’m at the park as my wonderful best friend is making me two inspired by two of my favourite princesses and a Harry Potter skirt to wear to Universal, also made by Bee because she’s awesome! I also have two princess inspired two pieces for swimming in, the idea was stolen by my fab friend Kayleigh. LM has more Disney clothes and princess inspired dresses than I know what to do with, but I have also picked up a Frozen towel, a flask, a hand held fan and a purse this month all from The Disney Store. By Christmas I could pack and leave straight away! How exciting!
Over the next few weeks I’m hoping to make a firm list of what fast passes I want to go for. As a resort guest I get to book them 60 days in advance. It feels weird knowing I have to book some experiences that far in advance but as I know practically what park I’ll be in on what day means I can at least get passes for some of the rides and experiences that have crazy queues especially since LM won’t be able to go on that much due to her height.
So since last month, 30 days down, 120 to go! I know once we hit 2015 it’s going to fly in and to be honest, I can’t wait!
