Outfit of the Day – Watch & You’ll See Some Day I’ll Be, Part of your World

When in doubt, dress up. This whole week has felt like an uphill struggle and tomorrow it culminates in my grandfathers funeral. I haven’t slept well so this morning I needed a fashion pick me up in the form of one of my Disney dresses. I missed last week’s Disney Side personal style post so I was going to make sure I got one up. I’m already panicking I won’t get all my dresses shared before I go! It definitely helped put a smile on my face wearing Disney today, especially as it was a dress with my fashion inspiration Ariel on it.

As you can see, the whole washing my hair in red hair dye is working! If anyone is wondering I mix my shampoo with a tea spoon of La Riche Directions hair dye then stick my shower cap on for about 20 minutes before washing out. My hair has gone from gingery (which is what happens when the colour starts washing out) back to a glossy red. I’m hoping to keep doing this until the week before my holiday when I’ll get my sister to dye it properly to cover the roots.

ANYWAY, the outfit which is what this post is for. As well as wearing a Disney dress, I had to wear flowers in my hair something else that always cheers me up. The hairband is one of my absolute favourites from Crown & Glory because I love how it looks against my hair. I threw this jacket and fur scarf on to walk along to the shop to pop some more gas on the meter (and to buy LM her daily fudge as I’m not keeping chocolate in the house at the moment). In hindsight it’s actually still too cold for a leather jacket, even with fur, so later on in the afternoon I did put on a different coat. The dress is probably one of my favourites from Hot Topic and I’ve actually wore it three times. Although I’m not really into the pin up thing like Kariss is (who also recently modeled this particular dress on her blog) I love the colours and the fit is so flattering. Kariss complained that the v neck felt like it was a funny cut, but this didn’t affect me at all and if you’ve seen my selfie on Instagram, you’ll see it’s pretty low. I think it’s to do with bust size. Someone also commented on the photo saying “real Ariel” and you have no idea how much it made my life!

To accessorise I’ve simply teamed it with some black suspender style tights, although you can barely see the suspender due to the length. If i’m honest it’s because I’m saving my only other clean pair of black tights for tomorrow. My favourite brogues, a red satchel bag (you obviously have to wear all the red when you’re wearing an Ariel dress!) an inverted triangle necklace that I bought because it’s the alchemy symbol for water and my star sign is Pieces which is a water sign and again, perfect or this outfit. Finally, I wore my beautiful half heart cord bracelet from Henryka. Henryka is one of the UK’s leading silver and amber jewellery specialists, their website is full of beautiful handcrafted and unique pieces and I was honoured to be sent one for review. I love how the amber is dark meaning it goes with a lot of my arm candy. I haven’t taken it off since I got it except to bathe!
