Personal Style – And I’ll Keep Wondering and Wondering and Wondering and Wondering

Today I’m showcasing dress number 6 for my trip to Walt Disney World, I have less than 7 weeks to go and currently 5 more outfits to share, I say currently because there is a high chance I’ll be buying another 1 or 2 dresses before I go. This has to be my favourite outfit so far, I don’t know if it’s because I sneakily got on the scales this morning and saw that I’d lost 2lbs over the weekend just from purely sticking to Slimming World so I feel great, or the fact the weight loss is starting to show. I am obviously wearing a black sweater which could also be the cause.. but I like to think it’s more because you can see the difference rather than I’m just dressing right.

My hair is a complete mess at the moment as I’m purposely not dying it until a week or so before our holiday to ensure it’s at it’s brightest and glossiest for the photos. So at the moment I’m just dealing with bad hair. So yes, I apologise now for bad hair photos for the next 5/6 weeks.

This Tangled dress was actually the first thing I bought from Hot Topic last summer. The floating lights scene is possibly one of my all time favourite Disney scenes so obviously I had to have it on a dress. It’s had more wear than most of my Disney dresses that I have been trying to keep for my trip as you can tell by the fact I’ve lost some of the thread in the skirt. It still looks beautiful though. You can’t see it but it has a black tank style top that is hidden under the sweater. It’s not the most flattering of things but at least it’s black so has some form of slimming properties. I much prefer it with a sweater over but I won’t be able to do that while on holiday! I’ve teamed it with a sweater from Blue Vanilla via etail PR. The sweater is such a flattering fit, slouchy without being over sized. I do love Blue Vanilla clothing for this reason and everything is so affordable! I particularly love that this is knitted with metallic wool which gives it more of a “princess” feel, and we all know how I like that. The back as you can see is laddered with an exposed zip. This zip is purely for show. I finished off the outfit with some purple tights, purple being a colour associated with Tangled and since it’s freezing cold today (again) I couldn’t possibly go bare legged and my favourite black brogues. They’re so comfy and almost feel like I have bare feet a la Rapunzel.

As for accessories I couldn’t not wear flowers in my hair. as I always associate flowers in hair with Rapunzel. I’ve chosen my all time favourite Crown & Glory hairband that I received in my first ever surprise box last year. It’s definitely the piece that suits me most. For jewellery I’ve gone with silver to match the threading in my sweater, a silver necklace I bought from my best friend Bee‘s online jewellery store. It’s now discontinued but she has loads of other beautiful bits including some hairbows she made with her daughter. And my new favourite princess Pandora bracelet that I reviewed last week. Yesterday the Spring Disney Parks Pandora charm designs were officially released and I plan on spending practically all my spending money on since I want like 5 to go on this bracelet!

I’m not sure why I like the selfie at the end so much, I look awkward as hell but I guess it reflects the Rapunzel-ish side of me haha.

I cant belive how organised you are. If it was me I’d chose what I was taking as I was packing a couple of hours before the airport lol. Your hair looks fab btw, stop worrying! 🙂

You look so cute, Amy! That dress is absolutely beautiful – why don’t we have Hot Topic in the UK?! I love how much attention to detail you put into outfits – it’s so interesting to read how you’ve themed your accessories to the film, even matching your necklace to the thread in your jumper! That’s impressive attention to detail.

I know I’ve already mentioned it (and I’ll probably say it so many more times) but I am actually so jealous of how close your Walt Disney World holiday is! It is the best place in the world.
