Friday I’m In Love #17

And we’re back to Friday again! I don’t mind these weeks flying in to be honest as I’m so ready for my holiday now. Maybe not right now as tonight I have a sore throat and I’m feeling really tired, it’s either a virus or allergies, neither of which are particularly welcome. The week itself hasn’t been too bad, very quite as I’m trying to save money. I’ve tried to get on top of house work and washing this week. It was so nice to be able to washing out on the line too as we finally have had Spring like weather!

As far as weight loss is concerned I haven’t even bothered, but on weighing in today I’ve discovered I haven’t lost or gained any weight! Starting tomorrow I’m back on Slimming World to try and loose those last 4lbs over the next two weeks. Fingers crossed.

So here is what I’ve been loving this week;

Cocktails in Teacups Friday I'm In Love

So today was the Solar Eclipse. If I’m honest, it wasn’t that amazing but I did have a nice time on the prom trying to photograph it with some kind elderly people. One guy shared his special eclipse viewing sunglasses around to everyone could have a turn looking. I’m not a huge fan of my hometown, I find the people not the nicest but today I was proved that there are some lovely people still living here. Okay so they were all in their late 60s/early 70s but they still welcomed me to join them and although I didn’t get any photos on my camera (as you can see) I did manage to see it and catch the reflection of it on my phone. It was a really nice morning that restored my faith in humanity as far as this small town goes!

Other sun related news is the fact it was actually out this week! It has genuinely felt like Spring time for the first time this year which has been wonderful! Although it hasn’t been particularly warm it has definitely put me in a nicer mood knowing I haven’t had to bundle up in hats, scarves and gloves. Today we even managed sunglasses and light jackets on our drive over to Scotland for the afternoon! I’m hoping for the nice weather to continue because the last thing I need is to cart winter coats with me to the airport in a couple of weeks time.

Cocktails in Teacups Birthday Night

(I apologise for the above, but it went perfectly with Cards Against Humanity and the tone of the night)

On Saturday as you all know, it was my birthday! I spent the weekend with LM, my best friend Bee and her family and our friends Jon and Nat. We went out for dinner to Damons and then in the evening we played Cards Against Humanity! Bee and I also managed to part take in Steak & BJ day without having meant to by both having philly steak sandwiches then drinking frozen cocktails from penis shaped straws! It gave us a good giggle. It was a great birthday, I didn’t once feel rubbish about turning twenty seven because I was with good company the whole weekend. Bee always puts herself out and I really appreciate it.

When I returned home it was Mother’s Day which was also really nice. I always try to make an effort on Mother’s Day to make up for the fact the year I was born my mum missed it by 3 hours. It’s always nice it falls near my birthday so we can celebrate together. When I got back from Bee’s house my dad ordered Chinese Take Away which we had together. Even LM who practically lives on rice at the moment.

Cocktails in Teacups The Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World

I received The Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World for Mother’s Day, along with Saving Mr Banks on DVD. I just started reading it today but I’m already hooked. I won’t lie, a lot of it is useless trivia I already know from reading stuff on the net, but there are some things I would have missed that I now really want to see. Not just hidden Mickeys. It’s definitely getting me in the mood, so much so I’ve stuck a few other Disney related books into my Amazon basket!

Also learned to use my camera on manual this week. WINNING!

So that’s this weeks Friday I’m in Love post, what have you been loving?
