What We Bought in Florida, September 2015

A week ago today we left our favourite place in the world once again and as of yet I haven’t decided whether or not I’ll be doing a day by day diary. So instead I’m sharing what I picked up while out there. Last time I didn’t manage to do this as I’d put everything else away before taking photos. In the end I just shared my favourite bits and nothing of what LM got. This time however I photographed everything as soon as it came out of my cased, and now I have a post for you all.

Starting with what I picked up for myself;

You want to know something ridiculous? My most expensive purchase was a pair of pyjama bottoms which came in at over $40 with tax, but they’re worth it. They have all the park symbols on them and they’re so comfy! The next most expensive item was my Ariel Alex and Ani that was just under $40 with tax. I’ve wanted one for ages and I decided that Ariel was a perfect fit. Everything else came under the $30 mark, and the majority was under the $20 mark even with tax. In the Disney parks I went for a gorgeous photoframe which was in the store beside Gaston’s Tavern, it was about $26 with tax and now sits on the stand at the top of my stairs. I also got a photo album for $20. The mug was about $14, I just love the floating lights scene on it. So much so I picked up the Rapunzel & Flynn tree decoration. LM choose Sorcerer Mickey decoration and I also got a Mickey ears decoration with our life mantra on “Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust”. They were all under $20 each. The Peter Pan and Wendy pin was a must, and is possibly one of my favourite purchases. It’s one of my all time favourite Disney scenes and Peter means so much to both LM and I. Another of my favourite buys is my necklace with “Never Give Up On Your Dreams” on it. I had expected it to be near the $30 mark but actually it was about $15! I love it so much. The rucksack was $10 if you spent $25 so I bought it the same time I bought the photo frame and The Kingdom Keeps book was retail price ($8.99) in the Emporium. If you love Disney I really recommend you give the series a go! Finally from the parks I got a Figment Food & Wine 2015 magnet, a magnetic shopping list and a Coronation Anna hand sanitiser.

Bee (because she’s awesome) let me add some things to her Hot Topic order before I flew out. I went for the “Take Me to Neverland” sweater that I’d had my eye on for literally ages. I’m so glad it hadn’t sold out as I can’t wait to wear it in Disneyland Paris next week. I also got a Baymax purse as my Ariel one is getting a little battered and I needed a back up for when it finally goes. I also got a Lilo & Stitch dress that is currently in the wash but I don’t really like how it looks on so I may sell it.

Now, what LM got while away;

Obviously she got plushes, although not even half the amount she got last time. She picked a Figment while in Epcot because she loves that purple dragon and a Sorcerer Mickey from Hollywood Studios after we watched Fantasmic. She’s obsessed with him at the moment. We got more Tsum Tsums too, Jack, Sally and Zero, Ariel and Eric then the cute expression ones the States currently have of Eeyore, Chip and Dale. They’re $5 before tax in the states. She got a bubble gun (not pictured as it’s hidden away so my house doesn’t end up a soapy mess) along with one of the spray fans we had as kids. I stopped filling it with water after a while as she was soaking people but the fan came in handy as it was still insanely hot while we were over there. Toy wise she picked an It’s a Small World bath toy that came with Peter Pan, Alice, Stitch, Prince Ali and Mexican Donald. It combines her two loves, Peter Pan and Small World haha. She also got a Tinker Bell dress up doll that comes with loads of little rubber outfits. She also got an It’s a Small World t-shirt, some Halloween Minnie Ears and a personalised parasol for her Jane Porter outfit. She picked a special Magic Kingdom plate and bowl. They’re plastic but still they were pretty cheap at about $10 for both! I wish we’d picked up another set as it’s all she wants to use! We found two adorable books too, one of stories based on Magic Kingdom attractions, and another Frozen action book that she had a cast member read to her in Sir Mickey’s. Finally she got a Peter Pan hat, that he asked to sign (and I slightly broke my heart over it) and once she had that she also wanted a plastic dagger and telescope so she could really fight pirates. That’s my girl!

Although we didn’t get as much as last time due to having a lot less, we both came away satisfied. Of course I’d have loved to have placed more orders to other stores before heading out so I had parcels to come back to but I just didn’t have the money. Maybe next time!
