What Little Miss Wore to her Christmas Party

Today was Little Miss’ Christmas party at pre-school! She’s been so excited about it the last few days especially how they’ve been practising games and singing Christmas songs. As I mentioned in Blogmas Day 5, she’s really into Christmas this year. Yesterday she came home from pre-school with a folder with her handmade Christmas card in, a calendar, a tree decoration and a present from Santa Claus which was sweet. Then today of course she had her party which meant being there nearly the whole day as she attends a morning session and the party was held in the afternoon! She seems to have enjoyed herself and I just want to share what she wore, because in my biased opinion, she looked adorable.

As you can see, handmade extends further than her cosplay dresses. I bought this Betsy Boo dress for her over a year ago and it’s age 18-24 months, but it still fits. This is why I adore handmade, it lasts so much longer than store bought and you’re supporting a small business by buying. The print of it is Little Red Riding Hood. The lady who owns Betsy Boo has the most amazing selection of prints that can be made into dresses, and this is one of my favourites. I love the style with the contrasting bow. LM looked so pretty in it and she definitely stood out compared to the other children at school. As it’s winter she’s wearing a white peter pan collar blouse my dad bought her from Next at the weekend (along with the glittery tights that she picked out herself a few weeks back while we were in the store.) Peter pan collars are my thing, but they look so adorable on LM. I know this something she will get a lot of wear out of too as it can be worn under a lot of her dresses. Her shoes are her ones I bought over the summer for our trip to Florida from Livie and Luca, they’re still in great condition despite how much she wore them on holiday. Finally, Liv is the queen of hairbows, so if she picks her accessories that’s what she goes for. This was actually ones of my bows from Crown and Glory, but she’s claimed all of them. Maybe I should place her a cheeky order for her birthday next month, it may be time to introduce her to some flower crowns..

What are you (or your child) wearing to Christmas parties this year?
