Little Miss Cosplays, Part Five

It’s getting to that time before a trip where I’m starting to think about what I’m going to be putting into the cases. As we’re away for 4 weeks and 80% of that time is going to be spent in the parks, my main focus is of course on the outfits Little Miss is going to wear. I’m at the stage where I need to try everything on and hope they fit, work out what little accessories she needs (because she’s a stickler for that sort of things these days!) So that of course means we’re going to have regular Little Miss Cosplays posts for the next few weeks. I hope you’re all ready!

Today we tried on all her Cinderella related dresses. She has three (although I’m still sad she’s grown out of her pink Cinderella dress, but it’s going to start happening more often!) Cinderella’s ball gown, Anastasia Tremaine play dress and Perla mouse’s dress. Cinderella’s gown is the only princess dress she has, usually she has their town or rags style dress meaning this dress is special.

The dress was actually Little Miss’ Christmas present from my best friend Bee who runs Closet Geek. I feel so bad but it’s actually the second one as I over estimated how big LM was and it was massive. This one is a perfect fit though with some growing room so she can wear it in October. Underneath it there is a small net skirt to give it a shape. On her feet she has a pair of clear jelly shoes as they work the best as glass slippers, and double up as pool shoes, these came from Amazon and were about £5. The hairband and the choker were from eBay and didn’t cost more than a couple of pounds each but they really finish off the outfit. We’ve not bothered with gloves because she has a pair but her fingers are so tiny that they swamp her hands, she’ll grow into them eventually. Finally, her Gus and Jaq came from The Disney Store last year. She loves to have some kind of plush to take with her and it stops her wanting to take her irreplaceable comforter into the parks.

This one is a bit more unusual. Kids going to the parks usually want to be the big main characters, but a lot of the time when we go we want to make an ensemble with the Little Miss’ friends. We’ve done Neverland and The Tremaines (with LM as Cinderella) both of which were so cute and enjoyable.. this time we have a few up our sleeve. This one we will be debuting at the new Princess Promenade, it’s three of Cinderella’s mice friends plus a little Lucifer. LM will be Perla (her favourite mouse in the pink dress). It’ll be a nice change from all the Little Princesses walking with Cinderella, although I may take her back to do that anyway. Anyway, the dress itself is from our other favourite seamstress at Heartfelt Costumes but this one was a Christmas gift from the mother of one of LM’s little friends. Her shoes were £1.50 from Sports Direct and will work well for a few of her costumes while we’re out there and of course the Gus and Jaq are the ones mentioned above from the Disney Store.

The final dress for this post is in what I call the “play dress” style. They’re light, one piece and perfect for rolling around Hub Grass or playing in fountings, so basically great kids wear. Little Miss has a fair few all from Closet Geek and although they’re not as obvious who they’re supposed to be out of contect, stick the child in Disney wearing it and the true fans no straight off the bat. Little Miss never ever likes to dress up like a “baddie” but she has a soft spot for Anastasia Tremaine, due to their love of pink and the fact she has the same kind of hair as mummy. Little Miss does have an under skirt underneath to make it poof out more. The bow is also from Closet Geek and the shoes and mice were the same as before.

Funny story with this one.. I was taking photos and she asked me to stop, I look confused as she goes to fetch Jaq and Gus placing them on the floor. Then she stands pretending to look scared. She’s so funny like that, her imagine is great and dressing up just really brings that out in her, it’s such a great hobby to have together.

Which one is your favourite?
