Cheerz Photo Album Review

At the end of last year I worked with Cheerz and got to review a box of their retro style prints which I popped in my Christmas cards! They were a huge hit and I kept the app on my phone as I knew it was a printing service I’d use again. Anyway, I was so excited when I was offered the chance to review their latest product, the photo album*!

If you missed my last post, and you still have no idea what Cheerz is all about, I’ll give you a quick recap! Cheerz are the new kid on the block when it comes to printing photos in a fun and creative way. We’re not just talking the standard 6×4 prints here! You can make really stylish gifts and polaroid style prints which really appeals to me. Cheerz comes in both an app format and the website meaning you can create your product from your phone, tablet or computer. The system is so simple to use both on the website and the app so you get exactly what you want every time. This time, I was creating one of their beautiful photo albums which I admit was a little more time consuming than picking photos for my Cheerz Box last time around but it was definitely worth the effort.

I created my photo album on the Thursday night and it arrived on the Monday. I think it could have even arrived a day sooner if it wasn’t for the fact the previous day had been a Sunday. The book was printed on Friday and posted out on Saturday, and the delivery was recorded. You can’t get better service than that! It arrived in a gorgeous presentation box which would have made it an exquisite looking gift if I had been giving it. It really is all about the special touches which make Cheerz one of my favourite photo printing services online. On the front of the box it has the name of the album. I went with “Walt Disney World Moments March 2016” and this was also printed on the spine of the album meaning if it’s stored on the shelf I’ll always be able to see what it is. It feels very well made, like a hard back book and can hold up to 150 photos (I think I have 130 in this particular one). It’s quite large at 20cm x 25cms so all the photos in it even if you have the maximum amount are a decent size. When you’re creating it you can choose from a range of colours and styles, I went for blue to match Little Miss’ love for Wendy Darling. You also get to select a photo to go on the front cover, again I went for Little Miss as Wendy as it’s such an important part of our trip

On the website (which is what I used to create this rather than the app as I knew it was going to be time consuming) once you’ve selected the photo album option you are guided through the creation process step by step. I think even my mum could use this system as the instructions are so clear. You can import photos from other websites such as Instagram and Facebook as well as your photo or computer. It even gives you a guide as to which photos fit best where on the page. You can zoom in and move everything around along with selecting different layouts for each page. The only thing I would have liked would have been an option to add text but that’s purely a preference thing as I knew I’d be using it as a scrap book of memories rather than just a photo album. I did spend a fair amount of time playing around with the options until I had my perfect book.

When the book arrived and I opened it I was not disappointed, in fact I got a little misty eyed seeing all our wonderful holiday memories in one place. Each page was a day we’d spent at Walt Disney World. As you can see from the close up photos i’ve taken it’s such good quality and none of the photos are even slightly pixelated which is often a problem you can have with photobooks. The photos are printed on really good quality paper. I love the front of the book with the black and white collage of all the photos used, along with a title page. I’m almost half tempted to take it with me in October and get it signed by characters we met in March as I think that would be a great way to finish it off. It really is beautiful and I’m so impressed. I honestly can’t wait to see what Cheerz come up with next.

The Cheerz Photo Album* starts at £35 with additional pages costing extra.
