Two weeks on Monday I leave for our trip to Florida and for the first time ever I feel seriously under prepared. Like to the point where I feel anxious about. I have a few bits and pieces shoved inside the suitcase but nothing has been ironed yet, I haven’t even checked what toiletries and first aid I need and I haven’t even started ironing things, this is so not like me. I don’t know what is stopping me at the moment but I just can’t get organised and I know the next two weeks are going to fly as they always do.
So today in an attempt to get my head around things I’m making a wishlist of things I still need to buy before we’re off (and things in general I just want to wear while we’re away!) I’ll be back next week with my shopping wishlist, that will be fun!
As I mentioned above, I haven’t even sorted my toiletries yet but I do know off the top of my head three things I really need, moisturiser, mascara and some setting spray. These three items are so important when it comes to packing for a holiday where it’s going to be hot. The mascara I’m currently using will not survive the water rides, I need a more comforting moisturiser after spending all day out in the sun and I’m all out of my make up setting spray which is a must so everything doesn’t melt off my face. For my moisturiser I’ve gone with a face cream by L’Occitane I swear by their creams having even been able to use the baby ones of LM’s sensitive skin. I always go for Benefit’s They’re Real as it’s probably my favourite mascara ever, nothing comes close with staying power. And finally I swear by Urban Decay’s Make Up Setting Spray range, my last mini bottle lasted 3 trips to Florida and I hope a new one will do the same.
Going to Walt Disney World in Florida means really flaunting your Disney Side. One thing I was at a loss with is what to use as my park bag, then I saw this kids one with some beautiful Disney Princess art work from the Disney Store’s Back to School range, it’s currently reduced which is a great time to splash out. I also love the Park Bound buttons, Casey does a great job and I love her Halloween designs, Gus and Jaq are just too cute on this one, perfect for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party!
Finally, I still need a few more outfits. Tomorrow night Oh Yeah Apparel are opening their store before they close for the whole of October. I have my eye on the two above designs and I really hope I get them! The store will be open at 1am BST. Finally I want to hit up Boohoo’s tulle section, the grey one is how I picture Cinderella’s dress in the movie (I always think of it more silver than blue) and I love the flower design on the pink one.
We also need to find a buggy to take! I must remember the buggy.
