Where in the World? – La Dimora dei Cherubini, Florence*

Over the last 5 years I’ve done many a Wanderlust Wishlist and Italy always stays in the top two places I want to visit. One of the places in Italy I really want to visit, along with Rome and Venice is, Florence.

If I’m planning a trip to Florence I want to stay somewhere that represents the beauty of the area, just like La Dimora dei Cherubini. This luxurious B&B is in the heart of the city close to the Santa Maria Novella train station with a beautiful view of the cathedral. Or why not try the sister B&B, La Dimora del Centroa few steps from the Donatello’s Column of Abundance, situated a few steps from the Donatello’s Column of Abundance.

La Dimora dei Cherubini is housed in a wonderful 19th Century building with views of Piazza Del Duomo and Piazza San Giovanni. It has 12 bedrooms and a tea room available 24 hours. Although it has a very homey and welcoming atmosphere you’ll find the rooms are exquisitely decorated with refined furnishings, giving it a very classy feel. Despite it being a B&B you’ll feel like you’re staying in a 5 star hotel.

On the other hand is La Dimora del Centro. This B&B finds it’s home in a prestigious building dating back to 1890, with its windows facing out over Brunelleschi’s Dome and bell tower which was designed by Giotto. The views of the historic Florence landscape from La Dimora de Centro are truly breath taking. Like La Dimora dei Cherubini it’s beautifully and tastefully decorated.

Each room boasts a private bathroom, free wifi, a safe, a satellite TV and air con should you visit during the warm Italian summer. Double rooms are available and each reservation comes with breakfast.

Both B&B’s are a short walk to all the top attractions and points of interest in Florence. Although the rooms look modern the location is swimming in history. The area is served well by public transport although in my experience the best way to experience a new place is on foot. Close by you’ll find the Galleria degli Uffizi and plenty of shops in Via de’ Tornabuoni.

Flights to Florence from the UK are well priced so if you were looking at a break here but didn’t know where to stay, I think i’ve just solved your dilemma! Check out the reviews at #DimoraDegliAngeli.

If you’ve visited Florence before, what did you enjoy about it most?
