Credit When you’re a mum, there are times when you struggle to remember what it was like to have time for yourself. Being busy with little ones, or even older children, can lead to a serious case of neglecting your own needs – particularly where beauty is concerned. But that doesn’t have to be the case; with a few sneaky tricks, you can be a very yummy mummy. Multitask When time is at a premium, you need to learn to work with it rather than against it. Cocktail Candle in Mojito Review
When asked by I Want One of Those if I wanted to review one of their Cocktail Candles, I was so incredibly excited. My blog is of course called Cocktails in Teacups, so I obviously do like to drink them (how stupid would it be if I didn’t?!) and I was even more excited to learn they had a mojito candle, which is actually my cocktail of choice. It arrived in a nice box, which of course instantly made me think how great a gift it would make (also so easy to wrap!) although I had it out in no time and it took pride of place on my fireplace.…

A Charming Story for Mothers Day with Argento
I have no idea how I’m just sitting down to blog at this time of night! I feel exhausted but at the same time, wide awake.. and is it just me or has the temperature suddenly rocketed? I actually have my bedroom window open tonight, although I will close it before going to sleep. Today, I’m talking about my mum. Again. At the end of the month there is a special day to honour these heroes…

Outfit of the Day – O is for Owl
FINALLY this place has some sun! Yesterday when everywhere else in the country was bathed in sunlight it was grey an miserable up here, so I’d given up hope on Spring again, but then this morning I woke to sun shining in. It makes me so happy when the sun shines. I loved getting dressed this morning and putting on make up. I’ve taken some photos and I’m going for a walk with Little Miss. I hope this carries on for the rest of the week, since it’s my BIRTHDAY WEEK (I’m celebrating it a LOT this year, sorry!) I’m starting to have a love affair with my camera. I’m…

Happy International Womens Day
I’m not sure how into this International Womens Day I really am, but I thought i’d write a quick post about the inspiring and supportive women in my life. Starting with my Nanny. My Nanny is husband to one frustrating man, mother to five children, four girls and one boy. She is grandmother to sixteen grandchildren and great grand mother to twelve. She has been a housewife all her life, marrying at seventeen. She’s suffered mental health problems, lost family, close family but through it all, she’s held our family together. Although my grandfather claims to be the head of the family, it’s really my Nanny. She gives and gives,…

Recipe No.23 Gluten Free Chocolate Brownies
I wasn’t actually going to blog tonight, or tomorrow for that matter because I have my two fav girls from university coming to stay to celebrate my birthday (part one of it anyway). They’re still half an hour away so I thought I’d quickly share this recipe with you. The reason this recipe is gluten free is because I took part in a gluten free week, following a diet put together by Ilumi to help boost energy and clear up my skin. However, there were no desserts in it, and I need my desserts so after a bit of browsing through my cookbooks I came across a Nigella recipe for…
